It's hard to imagine thinking about Autumn/Winter here in Melbourne when we are about to have a 38 degree day tomorrow (3 cheers for that!) but before you know it, Melbourne's good old changeable weather means you can never quite fully pack away your seasonal clothes as you'll still be fishing out that jumper or long sleeved tops when the inevitable cooler days approach and layering becomes a necessity. This is where Melbourne label SPENCERLACY as a brand comes in very handy as their pieces are not only great for layering, but also very comfortable and free flowing for the wearer so there is a real no fuss feel about it.
The new AW13 collection titled Enchanted Forest is made up of great printed pants, billowing tops, drapery and form fitting pieces showing off the best of a woman's body but also giving you that comfortable edge where the fabric lends itself to give you a sense of being curled up and cosy on the couch yet with style and sophistication. I am not a fan of clothes that are not comfortable, I do not believe you need to suffer and be uncomfortable while wearing fashionable clothes- and that goes for shoes too, and it is up to designers to make sure you can give the consumer both value, comfort, wearability and durability as well as style and substance. I think Belinda Abbott has done a great job delivering this in the new collection. Take a peak at the video below made by the talented team at Collective Workshop and hear the designers inspiration as well as getting a closer view on the collection. Hope you enjoy and if you are still in a summer mindset- they are having a sale on their website right now for their summer range! Enjoy! www.spencerlacy.com
