Limedrop Pops Up At The GPO

Last Friday I popped in to the official opening of the Limedrop Pop Up Concept Store at the magnificent GPO building in Melbourne. The creation of its two Melbourne designers Clea Garrick and Nathan Price, they have produced a AW12 Collection titled The Adventure Collection. The store itself is beautifully set up with travel tidbits that create a warm and welcoming feel as you peruse the racks of men's, womenswear, accessories and underwear of vibrant prints, bold colours and strong textural design. I fell in love with the red Bustier Dress that the delightful Clea was wearing on the night in the slate grey version. I'd highly recommend a visit while it's on offer for the next 3 months for as far as retail spaces go, it is a pleasure to spend time in, not to mention the clothes you can happily leave with.
Win Win I say!!
For those not in Melbourne, don't fret, you can shop the collection online at www.limedrop.com.au

Peroni Young Designer Award

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Peroni Young Designer Awards at the GPO in Melbourne. The awards also marked the official launch of the LMFF Windows by Design presented by the City of Melbourne and supported by Peroni and Harper's BAZAAR. This national first has Melbourne's leading retailers collaborate with designers, artists and collectors to create window displays inspired by Peroni Nastro Azzurro and curated by Alex Zabotto-Bentley.
Edwina McCann editor from Harper's BAZAAR and Michael Pickering editor from Men's Style, were on hand to reveal the winners of the night.
The Young Designer Award went to Daniella Stephanie Puglisi, while the runners up were Henry Ng, Orri Henrisson and Jamie Lee Major. Congratulations to all for your achievements and for what was a fun night and a prelude to LMFF.
